Le Français Thierry Pastor échappe de peu à la catégorie du one hit wonder en étant l'auteur de deux tubes avec « Le coup de folie » (1981) et « Sur des musiques noires », classé douzième au Top 50 en 1985. Malgré ces succès et trois albums, Thierry Pastor disparait de l'avant-plan vers 1996. Jamais oublié du public celui qui figure parmi les dix plus importants vendeurs de 45 tours en France dans les années 1980, participe depuis 2009 aux tournées RFM Party 80.

It took over twenty years from his entry into the gospel music world, but Bryan Duncan finally became a star during the mid-'90s, hitting number one on Christian radio ten times from 1993 to 1997. He had formed the Sweet Comfort Band in the early '70s and recorded half a dozen LPs with the band, but after the trio agreed to split in 1984, he released his debut solo album Have Yourself Committed just one year later. By 1993's Mercy, Duncan had begun a parade of hits, including "Love Takes Time," "I'll Not Forget You" and "You Don't Leave Me Lonely." Born in Ogden, Utah as a preacher's son, Duncan began writing songs as a teenager while living in North Carolina.

Widely regarded as one of Canada's best jazz singers, Russian-born, Toronto-based vocalist Sophie Milman changes tact slightly for her fourth studio album, In the Moonlight. Nostradamus – The Fate of Man is the twelfth studio album by the Dutch progressive rock band Kayak. This concept-album tells the story of French doctor and seer Nostradamus, but from the viewpoint of a Flemish monk, Yves de Lessines. The (unproven) theory behind this is that Nostradamus was not the writer of his famous "Centuries". These poems were in fact written 200 years earlier by De Lessines, and they were a secret code to find the treasures of the Knights Templar. On one of his journeys, Nostradamus found the book that De Lessines wrote, and interpreted the poems in his own way, turning them into predictions. This theory was launched and motivated by Belgian professor and historian Rudy Cambier in his book "Nostradamus and the lost Templar legacy" (2003). Kayak found this approach much more interesting than the usual Nostradamus-stories, and decided to take this theory as a starting point for their second rock-opera.

West End Girls are a Swedish tribute synthpop band performing cover versions of songs by English electronic/pop music act the Pet Shop Boys. Hailing from Stockholm, the duo originally consisted of Isabelle Erkendal and Rosanna Jirebeck, but Rosanna left the group in 2008 and was replaced by Isabelle's cousin Emmeli Erkendal. Isabelle Erkendal provides main vocals for the band and is the "Neil Tennant" figure, whilst Jirebeck was behind her as "Chris Lowe", a capacity filled by Emmeli Erkendal now. West End Girls has been performing since 2003. Unlike other cover bands, their style emulates the Pet Shop Boys rather than providing direct facsimiles.

Foreigner is a British–American rock band, originally formed in New York City & London in 1976 by veteran English musician and ex–Spooky Tooth member Mick Jones, and fellow Briton and ex–King Crimson member Ian McDonald along with American vocalist Lou Gramm. Jones came up with the band's name as he, McDonald and Dennis Elliott were British, while Gramm, Al Greenwood and Ed Gagliardi were American. Their biggest hit single, "I Want to Know What Love Is", topped the United Kingdom and United States charts among others. Another one of their hit singles, "Waiting for a Girl Like You", peaked at number two on the US chart for a record-setting 10 weeks. They are one of the world's best-selling bands of all time with worldwide sales of more than 80 million records, including 37.5 million records in the US.

To mark the 250th anniversary of Christoph Graupner’s death, Sabrina Frey is presenting “per il flauto”, her personal choice of works for the recorder by this Baroque composer. These are world premiere recordings of two of the works featured.

Let It Loose/Anything for You is the 10th studio album by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine, released in 1987. It is the first studio album credited to Estefan as a solo artist, but is her 10th album overall including her work with Miami Sound Machine. The album was re-released under a new title Anything for You and new cover art in Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, starting in October 1988 through early 1989. To date the album has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide.
