Whether you get it or you don’t, Magma’s music is still growing stronger and stronger each day to blow those doors down with a giant battering ram ready to burst through. Sung in the styles of the Kobaïan language created by founder Christian Vander, they created forms of Jazz, Opera, Classical, Soul, Avant-Rock, and Progressive music for fifty-two years. This year Magma have released their 19th release from AKT series which covers their archival and musical live recordings. This 2-CD set consists of performances they did for their aborted French tour in Bourdeaux, Toulouse, and Perpignan on March 6, 7, and 8th before everything shut down due to the pandemic and COVID-19.

Following the success of their acclaimed RareNoise debut, 2014’s Jü Meets Møster (a killer collaboration with renowned Norwegian saxophonist Kjetil Møster) the experimental Budapest-based trio of guitarist Ádám Mészáros, bassist Ernö Hock and drummer András Halmos once again bridges hellacious free jazz, throbbing hardcore rock and spacious world and ambient music on their ecstatic, envelope-pushing opus, Summa. Jü is an experimental trio from Budapest. The band, formed in Spring 2012 by now became one of the most exciting jazz acts on the Hungarian music scene. The music act is a dynamic power jazz full of psychedelic tunes and improvisation from Budapest's best underground musicians.

In the mid-1960s, the rigid and colourless British way of life was irrevocably transformed by the emergence of the underground movement, a loose collective of young radicals who introduced new social, sexual and aesthetic perspectives. Operating out of the heart of London, their various activities, from the newspaper the International Times, to the psychedelic club UFO, promoted alternative lifestyles and values and sparked a cultural revolution.

The young but already great saxophonist James Carter explores seven jazz standards with pianist Craig Taborn (himself a young master capable of playing in several styles), bassist Jaribu Shahid, and drummer Tani Tabbal. Among the most versatile and knowledgeable of today's saxophonists, Carter draws on many top stylists during these lengthy solos, yet always sounds quite individual. His violent depiction of a train whistle on "Take the 'A' Train" perfectly launches that romp, and he also really stretches out on "Epistrophy," plays the blues on John Coltrane's "Equinox," and shows quite a bit of fire on "Oleo." A very stimulating session.

A Necessary Moment Of Italian Culture - Well known pieces of Italian music from different periods revisited "live" through performance techniques based on deconstructive patterns inspired by Jaques Derrida's thought overlapping Benedetto Croce 's life and works. The S.A.D.O. (Società Anonima Decostruzionismi Organici, Anonymous Society of Organic Deconstructionisms) band took shape in 1994 in Italy, from the Arcansiel group (Gianni Opezzo, Paolo Baltaro and Sandro Marinoni), with Diego Marzi on percussion.
