Freddie Green deserves way better than this slapdash compilation. Green was one of the great sidemen in jazz, and this Giants of Jazz collection features his sublime six-string work but unfortunately with crummy sound (as in wildly unbalanced and under-mastered), a rather weird collection of tracks (most are not original versions), and confusing credits. All for a budget price to be sure, but no thanks.~Thom Jurek
