This is some of the music composed for the Laserium, a sound to light extravagance that I have been working on over the last year. The Laserium is a method of using sound to drive lasers that are refracted or reflected to corresponding individual voices in the music. It's all very psychedelic but without a drug. Very strange.

Bad Cameo is a collaborative studio album by British musician James Blake and American rapper Lil Yachty. It was released on June 28, 2024, by Quality Control Music, Motown, and Republic Records. When deciding on what kind of music the duo wanted to make, Yachty told Blake that he'd worked on enough hip hop music in his career and that Yachty wanted them to work on something completely different. Blake responded by showing Yachty some ambient music he'd been working on around the same time as his prior album Playing Robots into Heaven, and Yachty played his own music which matched the mood of Blake's.

Following their collaboration on 2021’s Oscar winning Drive My Car, Eiko Ishibashi and filmmaker Ryusuke Hamaguchi up the ante with a deeply inspired synergistic exchange: music for images, visuals for sounds. Eiko’s score initiated the project that has become his celebrated new film (Best Picture – BFI London Film Fest, Asian Film Awards, Silver Lion – Venice Film Fest, Best Score – Asia Film Awards). A feverish essay of transcendent drumming: Chris’ solo approach, rooted in the exploration of elements of extended technique, sought another level, via possibilities facilitated by a self-made string drum! The Key (Became The Important Thing [& Then Just Faded Away]) brings his encompassing focus on free improvisation and noise into a granular fusion with acoustic experiments and hot-wired ideations of hard rock riffing and the post-punk sound.

Even after his death, Paul Butterfield's music didn't receive the accolades that were so deserved. Outputting styles adopted from Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters among other blues greats, Butterfield became one of the first white singers to rekindle blues music through the course of the mid-'60s. His debut album, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, saw him teaming up with guitarists Elvin Bishop and Mike Bloomfield, with Jerome Arnold on bass, Sam Lay on drums, and Mark Naftalin playing organ. The result was a wonderfully messy and boisterous display of American-styled blues, with intensity and pure passion derived from every bent note. In front of all these instruments is Butterfield's harmonica, beautifully dictating a mood and a genuine feel that is no longer existent, even in today's blues music.

Ablaye Badji is a multi-instrumentalist, a member of the griot family – Cissoko. Ablaye was born and grew up in Ziguinchor, Senegal. Surrounded by the cultural and musical richness of his ancestors, he began his musical education by gaining an in-depth knowledge of traditional instruments such as djembe, sabar and seourouba. His love for the kora, however, was visible to him at an early age.

East-West is the second album by The Butterfield Blues Band led by Paul Butterfield, originally released in 1966 on Elektra Records. It was recorded at the famed Chess Studios on 2120 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago. It peaked at #65 on the Billboard pop albums chart, and is regarded as highly influential by rock and blues music historians.
