UB45 celebrates 45 years of UB40, featuring seven new tracks plus fresh recordings of some of the band’s most loved hits. Robin Campbell says: “We’re so proud of the new album. Nearly forty-five years after John Lennon's death, the Beatles' legacy remains as one of the most important fuels in popular music. Lennon’s solo work, which includes masterpieces such as Plastic Ono Band (1970) and Imagine (1971), is still as influential as ever. On the latter, the Liverpudlian proved once again that he could do it all: poignant ballads ("Jealous Guy"); highly poetic lyrics; furious, wild pop and rock and roll daydreams ("It's So Hard," "I Don't Wanna Be A Soldier," "Gimme Some Truth"). Lennon even found time to attack his ex bandmate Paul McCartney head-on on the scathing "How Do You Sleep?" The icing on the cake was "Imagine," the perfect production by the renowned audio visionary Phil Spector. John Lennon amazed and fascinated his fans to the very end, as with Double Fantasy, released three weeks before his assassination. In just a few days, the ultimate opus reached the top of the charts, carried by his hit singles "(Just Like) Starting Over" and "Woman." It was a record that marked a turning point in his solo career, with politics and activism slipping away in favor of more personal and introspective themes, and more experimental songs rubbing shoulders with the more commercial ones in a kind of magical harmony.

Live Wire/Blues Power is a live album from Albert King recorded in 1968 at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, California. Featuring originals and King's rendition of classics, the album demonstrates Albert King's blues prowess. Featuring all-analogue mastering by Grammy-nominated engineer Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab at Blue Heaven Studios. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings, this album is released in partnership with Acoustic Sounds, and features a paper-wrapped tip-on jacket. According to Rolling Stone, this album is "Just the unadulterated pure and simple blues."

Forceful and mystic, with a beauty and intensity that reminded him of his first hearings of Miles, Mingus, or Monk, Belgian bassist & composer Piet Verbist was pulled into his deep study of Flamenco culture several years ago through a grant from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. After a dozen immersive trips to Andalusia to study, perform, and develop a repertoire, Piet presented concerts in Belgium and Málaga with his joint Spanish/Belgian ensemble, recording this album live in Antwerp at the end of 2023.

Rolf Kuhn's decades-long presence on the jazz scene was a stroke of luck and a gift. Rolf Kuhn was an exceptional artist, a German jazz musician of the highest caliber, one of the very few with international standing. Kuhn had no idea it would be his last recording when he met with his quartet at Berlin's Hansa Studio in late June 2022. In August that year he sadly passed away. His compositions, whether balladic or fast-paced and driving, always left room for what jazz meant to him: creating music together, letting it take flight through improvisation that thrived from listening and feeling.

Gérard Gustin, born in Nice in 1930, initially trained in violin but soon found his true passion in the piano, particularly in the realm of jazz. His musical journey was shaped by encounters with notable musicians along the way. By 1955, Gustin’s talent caught the attention of Parisian audiences, and his trio performances solidified his reputation as one of the finest French pianists of his generation.

Wild God is the upcoming 18th studio album by the Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, set to be released on 30 August 2024 through PIAS. It marks their first studio album in five years, following Ghosteen (2019).

Pianist and composer Håkon Skogstad releases his new album, 8 Concepts of Tango, the sequel to Norwegian Grammy-awarded Visions of Tango from 2021. The album is the third installment of Skogstad’s tango trilogy, where the aim has been to develop a new musical style in the wake of Astor Piazzolla. On 8 Concepts of Tango, Skogstad performs in the company of seven hand-picked musicians - all experts in the Argentine tango/classical music segment.

Arild Brøter has unveiled “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service Suite: Part 1,” the first single from his new album, A Spectre of Sounds: James Bond Music Reimagined. This suite comprises four themes from the film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”: the main theme, “Gumbold’s Safe,” “Over and Out,” and the iconic “James Bond Theme.” The track features an electric, uptempo arrangement with numerous twists, showcasing Brøter’s innovative approach.

Václav Neumann was one of the most distinguished conductors of the so-called Eastern Bloc. The long-serving chief conductor of the legendary Czech Philharmonic was principally regarded as an accomplished advocate of the music of his homeland, which he interpreted with a strong sense of form, love of detail, and a vocal espressivo, eschewing any sentimentality. This is also evident in these live recordings made in Lucerne, now released for the first time.
