    SACD Rip | FLAC (tracks) 24-bit/88,2 kHz | Front Cover | Time - 44:31 minutes | 843 MB
Soft Rock, Rockabilly | Label: Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab

There was nothing in contemporary music like Chris Isaak’s Heart Shaped World when it hit shelves in June 1989. More than three decades later, the singer-songwriter’s third album still sounds unique — and claims a backstory nearly as fascinating as the retro-leaning material and standout performances that propelled it to sales of more than 2.5 million copies. Home to the Top 10 smash “Wicked Game,” the set remains a masterful mood piece that invites you to pour a late-night drink, sit in a dimmed room, and relish Isaak’s elegant albeit raw ruminations on love, relationships, and questionable decisions.

    SACD Rip | FLAC (tracks) 24-bit/88,2 kHz | Front Cover & Digital Booklet | Time - 33:45 minutes | 673 MB
Folk Rock | Label: Analogue Productions

"Nash's first solo was released in 1971 following CSNY's masterpiece, Deja Vu, all four producing solos at that time, eg., Stephen Stills (FHN Jul '26). This sounds more like one of the group's efforts rather than a solo, but that attests to Nash's importance in CSNY, as both writer and vocalist. This is a delicious, archetypal Left Coast singer-songwriter effort, full of glorious harmonies and, mandatory at the time, A-list guest musicians including Crosby, Young, members of The Grateful Dead, The Turtles' John Barbata, et. al. Standouts include protest songs 'Military Madness' and 'Chicago,' with an uplift from 'We Can Change The World.' Sound Quality: 90% — Ken Kessler, Hi Fi News, August 2026

Latin Jazz | Label: Impex Records

In 1953, Brazilian master guitarist Laurindo Almeida and altoist/flutist Bud Shank collaborated on their first LP for Richard Bock’s Pacific Jazz label. Laurindo Almeida Quartet Featuring Bud Shank was a groundbreaking recording, blending American jazz with Brazilian samba for the first time, years before the advent of bossa nova. Almeida and Shank enjoyed such early success with the record that they reunited five years later for their second collaboration, Holiday in Brazil (alternatively titled Brazilliance, Vol. 2).

    SACD Rip | FLAC (tracks) 24-bit/88,2 kHz | Front Cover | Time - 37:02 minutes | 694 MB
Cool Jazz, Hard Bop | Label: Analogue Productions

Vibraphonist Milt Jackson and tenor saxophonist John Coltrane make for a surprisingly complementary team on this 1959 studio session, their only joint recording. AllMusic notes that with fine backup by pianist Hank Jones, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Connie Kay, Bags and Trane stretch out on two of Jackson's originals (including "The Late Late Blues") and three standards: a romping "Three Little Words," "The Night We Called It a Day," and the rapid "Be-Bop." The highlight of the set is the eponymous opening track, which just oozes late-night cool.

The first album to hit the shelves after Giant Steps, Coltrane Jazz was recorded in November and December 1959, although one of the eight tracks ("Villiage Blues") was recorded in late 1960. On everything save the aforementioned "Village Blues," Coltrane used the Miles Davis rhythm section of pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb.

Female R&B singers were expected to be forceful, big-voiced divas (like Aretha Franklin) or come-hither seductresses (like Diana Ross), but, as AllMusic says, Roberta Flack had her own unique approach. Flack's voice is vast, deep, and stately — where some singers confuse frenzy with passion, she is confident, majestic, and unhurried, intense in a profound yet reserved manner.
