Machine export now includes DMG MORI manufacturer
Simufact Additive extends its machine export functionality to include compatibility with DMG MORI machines. This enhancement maintains the same easy-to-use GUI settings found with Nikon SLM solutions, but with the added option to define the CELOS (machine software) version. The library expands with the addition of three DMG MORI machines. Also, there are improvements to visualization and slicing preview, the ability to define layer index or height, and the color differentiation of vectors.


Non-manifold geometries: Handle non-manifold geometries robustly
Experience enhanced performance with improved handling of non-manifold geometries in Simufact Additive and clear user guidance. This feature provides robust management and clear user guidance for dealing with non-manifold geometries or meshes. It includes adjustable error and warning settings for various types of defects and offers repair options for defects. The update introduces extended surface meshers and fallback compatibility with alternative algorithms for non-manifold meshes, ramping up flexibility and efficiency. These improvements foster clear and early identification of mesh defects, with problematic geometries conveniently highlighted in the Graphical User Interface. Experience enriched results and accurate distortion compensation with Simufact Additive's improved handling of non-manifold geometries and more robust surface meshing. Recognizing the need for fine surface meshes for optimal outcomes, we offer a new surface refinement option to handle intricate cases. The feature includes three surface meshers: Mesh-on-CAD (available exclusively for CAD bodies), Mesh-on-mesh (legacy tool, now enhanced for non-manifold meshes), and our new addition, Surface Refinement. Navigate the complexities of your CAD geometries effectively with our improved and expanded meshing tools.
Non-manifold geometries: Geometry repair functions
Enhance your control over non-manifold geometries with Simufact Additive's additional geometry repair functions. The 3D Reshaper SDK integrated into our system provides functions that restore the manifoldness of the mesh. This feature comes with an enriched geometry check dialog, which includes a 'Repair' button for multiple attempts at rectification, an 'Undo' button to revert the latest modification, a 'Properties' button for advanced repair settings access, and an 'Apply' button to save the modified mesh. Enrich your input quality and streamline your additive manufacturing process, leveraging our in-built repair solutions.
