Description

Who is the instructor?Hi! My name is Kris Olson, and I've been a gymnastics coach in Colorado for over 10 years as well as a competitive snowboarder and a coach of competitive snowboarding for over 20 years. Now, about this course:What's in this course? This is the continuation of the beginner gymnastics-specific trampoline course, and as the title implies, we work on intermediate trampoline skills that directly relate to gymnastics, which means I've left the freestyle tricks and progressions out. This course then is for anyone looking to improve their gymnastics skills or prepare for a gymnastics class that can and should be done on a trampoline - and take those skills from an intermediate to an advanced level. The course is outlined below.Intro: This section includes a brief course intro followed by a stretch and conditioning session that is a step above the stretching and conditioning introduced in the beginner course. Also included is a tutorial on body shapes and fundamental trick concepts such as setting and spotting, which were covered in the beginner course but I wanted to include for anyone who opted out of that because it's still highly helpful information.Basics: In this section we cover several drills and progressions that are fun in themselves but pave the way to quickly and safely learn harder skills down the road. This includes things like spinning into and out of back drops and seat drops as well as drills for higher level flips such as a branny.Skills: In this section we work on proper spin technique, focusing on a full and a half (540) and covering how to do both front flips and backflips - specifically front tucks and back tucks.Resolution: This section includes one video with some final words and where to go to learn more skills and find more courses. Is this course worth my money? Here are the reasons why this course is valuable:Safety. Learning these skills from a professional is so much less sketchy than trying these things by yourself or with your friends amping you up. And it's way faster.Legitimate content. These drills and methods have been tried and tested for years on real kids and adults and produce results.Structure. Fast and effective progression is a matter of doing the right things in the right way in the right order. The chronological organization of this course will achieve that for you.High video quality. Cinematography and editing are side hobbies of mine, and I put them to work to make sure these videos are easy to watch and far surpass basic iPhone tutorials you can find on TikTok and Instagram.Fun. There aren't many things more fun than jumping on a trampoline, but one of those things is being good at it. It has contributed to a really cool life for me and can definitely create that for anyone else who is willing to put in the reps!It took me 25 years to accumulate all these skills, but you can do it in a matter of months with this course. Give it a go!*This course is intended for adult purchase and oversight*
