Pianist Hervé Sellin offers us a jazz recomposition of the works of Fauré and Ravel.

Over the years Enrico Pieranunzi has developed a relationship of silent complicity with Fauré's music. Every time he played his barcarolles or nocturnals or when he listened to his chamber music he was left breathless. This is why Bonsaï Music, after producing the two previous albums of the trio he formed with André Ceccarelli and Diego Imbert, immediately agreed to record 'Fauréver'. In this new project, Enrico Pieranunzi wanted to honor the upcoming 100th anniversary of the disappearance of Gabriel Fauré.

The North Sea String Quartet is the Dutch jazz string quartet of the moment. In March of 2023 composer, arranger & alto saxophonist Cassie Kinoshi premiered a commissioned suite of music in front of a sold out crowd at London’s Southbank Centre. She wrote the piece – gratitude – for her flagship large ensemble seed., in a special augmented formation that also featured turntablist NikNak and the London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO).

Only recently the trio won distinction for a solid 50 million streams of their music worldwide, and the last album, "Layers Of Life", climbed to No. 2 on the German Jazz Charts. But to scale Emil Brandqvist down to his role as bandleader and musician short-changes his track record, because it's primarily the composer Emil Brandqvist who allows this Swede's popularity to grow and grow. With "Interludes" he is now offering own compositions in variegated instrumentations.
