Rich, melodic soundscapes, transgressing the borders of electronic music and providing perfect picture music, relaxing and stimulating at the same time, yet rhythmic driving with a profound sense for melody and finely textured songs.
Interface are Marcel Thebach (born 1972) and Michael Gross (born 1966). Obviously they are influenced by the godfathers of German electronic music such as Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, but within that context they add a very youthful element and most of all, they have real songwriting ability. Although their soundscapes are sometimes just as entrancing as the likes of Schulze, they retain a high degree of melodic content, composing with passion, melody and harmony. They create not just a wave of sound but their tunes have a clearly defined substance to them…

Music or Movie? The big picture in "Waitin' For Your Call" reminds you of a b/w Bogard movie, the lover waitin' at the phone, late at night, excuses, love, hate, drama. "Good Morning L.A." is just that: sunny, jazzy good and mellow. "Where are You" in both versions memorable, the vocals right on. "Syntasia" a hommage to the powerful sounds of Keith Emerson and to Eddie Jobson's brilliance.

An atmosphere of early morning in the Shoyama mountains of Japan. The sun rises above a mountain crest. A monk rings the bell, signalling the time for prayer. It is in such surroundings that Kosei Yamamoto takes his saxophone and warms up on filigree improvisations, to a background of natural sounds. His friends Hiroki and Takashi used a digital MTR and mixer to record this sound, which tunes in to the earth’s gravity.

Art Forland has in recent years escaped from classical differentiation with the concept of virtual music. He has done this without having given up the popular aspect of this work with which this demanding search for new music began. At the center of the title of this work is the expression of the dream, which is that virtuality which man has always opposed to reality. A contemporary way of being as sound space.
"Virtual Music" - a musical philosophy stands behind this phrase which merges the rationality of electronic music with the sensuality of the inner psyche. The "Virtual" is the original sense pf the unreal. Electronic code enables the virtual spirit to be made physical reality, and thus arrive at the purest form of music…

These musical sketches dedicated to the American Southwest. A journey to magic powerspots deep in the Havasu Canyon, to ghost towns along the Turquoise Trail where time stands still. This spiritual journey merges with Frank's excellent instrumental abilities to compose a tender and moody piece of music with a very dense and gripping atmosphere. Sparingly used synthesizers add colour, the occasionally used percussion offers a gentle rhythmical hold and enhanced is the overall feeling of "well-being" by some brilliantly playing studio musicians on sax and live-percussion, adding a touch of sparkle where it is needed.
