The Ike & Tina Turner Revue was regarded as "one of the most potent live acts on the R&B circuit."

Tina Turner, the most dynamic soul singer in music history, exhaled sex through all the pores of her skin throughout her career that she started as an Ike & Tina Turner singer in the late 50s. His grandiose performances and hoarse voice opened doors to him all over the world, when one thinks that the fervor of the Gospel and abstinence were at the origin of the soul in the early 50s. After divorcing from Ike in the mid-70s, she recorded a few albums later in the decade but really resurfaced in the mid-80s with a string of hits plus film appearances.
