Héctor José Bingert Aleman (born March 3, 1944 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan jazz and entertainment musician (soprano and tenor saxophone, flute, composition), who also performs under the name Finito Bingert.

An accomplished versatile virtuoso baritone saxophone player, Chicago native Dave Schumacher has been a mainstay on the New York jazz scene for more than forty years. His big, bold baritone first came to international attention during the eighties, spending much of those years touring the world with Lionel Hampton’s Orchestra. Schumacher garnered further notice following that with nearly two decades as a member of the orchestra of Harry Connick, Jr. In the 90's he also toured with T.S. Monk’s Monk on Monk band and the Tom Harrell Octet, as well as freelance work with many others in New York and on the road.

The lineup just features Eddie Gomez on bass, Ray Mantilla on congas, and Marty Morrell on drums – and Gomez is fantastic, with a rich sound that's very different than his work with Bill Evans – funky at times, and sounding great next to the percussion! Josee Koning, one of the most prominent ‘Brazilian’ voices in Europe, and Grammy winner Ivan Lins celebrate 25 years of friendship with a new album titled Doce Presença. The project has its roots in 2006 when the two of them performed the title track live in concert. Sixteen years later, during a walk on the beach together, Ivan wondered why the song never got released. Josee told him she was thinking of recording a new album, and Ivan decided instantly he would be the producer. To 11 new takes the 2006 live recording was added as a bonus track and a circle rounded. Julio Botti started his music career at age 8, in Cordoba, Argentina where his mother gifted him his first saxophone. Since then, he has scoured the world to refine his skills and discover new and exciting sounds. From nightclubs in Havana to the caves of Madrid, from befriending Buddy Miles to collaborating with Pablo Ziegler and 2 Latin Grammy nominations, Botti’s life has been a whirlwind journey all to develop his new sound - a progressive form of Jazz Tango. Today, Julio is completing a transatlantic voyage from New York City to Spain, to again see what the world has to offer.

Charlie Lee Byrd (September 16, 1925 – December 2, 1999) was an American jazz guitarist. Byrd was best known for his association with Brazilian music, especially bossa nova. In 1962, he collaborated with Stan Getz on the album Jazz Samba, a recording which brought bossa nova into the mainstream of North American music.

In his DownBeat magazine review of March 14, 1963, jazz critic Don DeMichael wrote that "Dizzy plays marvelously on this record… There's a spirit evident that is all too often missing from today's record sessions – a spirit of vivacious humor and playing-for-the-hell-of-it."

Louis Matute's fourth album, "Small Variations from the Previous Day," is propelled by the emotionally catalyzing 'Large Ensemble,' which continually welcomes new members. The album looks towards Central America and Brazil, drawing inspiration from jazz and elegant pop, from folk to Saudade. Matute invited Brandee Younger and Gabi Hartmann as guests for one track each, and Lea Maria Fries for two pieces in the studio.
