Joseph Arthur was born in Ohio-native and in his life has recorded and released a number of albums in rock, folk, pop. In this record, a variety of songs - vocal and instrumental, of nakrotikah and autobiographical, and many other stories. Arthur describes his new record as "some of the richest music I've made in 17 years of putting music together. "Boogie Christ" is a psychedelic soul record about redemption and what happens after you find and lose it".

If there's such a thing as the opposite of writer's block, Joseph Arthur has it. The Akron, Ohio-bred/Brooklyn, NY-resiciing singer/songwriter, who once released four EPs in the span of as many months, has demonstrated his unwavering proclivity yet again with the release of "Redemption City", a 24-song double album.

David Rhodes, Peter Gabriel's guitarist-of-choice for the last three decades, is explaining why it's taken him so long to take centre-stage and record the first record under his own name. He's typically modest and "quite strong" is something of an understatement. The songs on "Bittersweet", released through the B&W Society Of Sound, reveal a hidden talent, someone whose clear songwriting skills fully deserve any belated limelight thrust in their direction.

The Choir hails from Cuba's third city, Camagüey, an old colonial town which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 for its iconic architecture, where the singers have studied music to university level and are members of the Provincial Choir, which their leader Emilia Chavez directs. Desandann (the original Cuban name of The Creole Choir of Cuba) emerged out of this choir in 1994, a difficult time for Cubans when the economy fell into a black hole following the end of the USSR and of Soviet support for the revolution. Food was in short supply, while homes and work places often went dark due to lack of electricity. The singers decided to re-forge the resistance songs and laments of their forebears and to celebrate the history of their Haitian descendants.

Peter Gabriel took "So" on tour throughout 1986/87. With the worldwide success of the album things were beginning to change as David Stallbaumer, Peter’s former assistant, recalls: “The first couple of tours I did with Peter, it was very much a cult crowd, everyone knew every word, every note of every song. With ‘So’ everything catapulted, we went from playing 3,000 to 10,000 venues to stadiums. Instead of seeing 5,000 die hard student fans in a college town somewhere, you were seeing 40,000 people who knew every word to ‘So’. It became a very different environment: 20,000 to 40,000 people was a regular concert after that”.

"New Blood" is a continuum of Peter’s previous album, "Scratch My Back", a song-swap project where he covered the songs of others, all to an orchestral backing. “He really liked what he was discovering,” explains his engineer Richard ‘Dickie’ Chappell. “As soon as we started do the covers, there was talk of applying it to his own songs. It was always an ongoing thought”. The album has been created specifically for Bowers & Wilkins' Society Of Sound members.

"Scratch My Back" is the eighth studio album (and fifteenth album overall) by English musician Peter Gabriel, his first in eight years. It was released in February 2010. The album, recorded at Air Lyndhurst and Real World Studios during 2009, consists of cover versions of twelve songs by various artists, using only orchestra and voice. It is produced by Gabriel himself with Bob Ezrin.

Influenced by a wide range of music from Tim Berne, Chris Potter and Anthony Braxton to Queens of the Stone Age and Soundgarden, and Flying Lotus as well, as the vibrant Leeds scene, experimental British trio mix jazz, rock, and electronic music into its own unique improvisatory sound. Their music is a fresh, visceral stew of conventional and experimental sounds that features stonking riffs, thrashy noise, evocative songs and electronic soundscapes. Released in 1986, "So" became one of the defining albums of the era, landing multitudes of awards, millions of sales and a huge hit single with 'Sledgehammer'. The 25th anniversary remastered version goes back to Peter Gabriel's original sonic vision for the album.
